Looking Back: Odds & Ends 2012

None of these pictures really merited their own post, but I wanted to post them anyway. It's just a little sampling of some of the stuff of 2012.

Here's a few of Kaiya all dressed up. She still likes to play dress up, but it's no longer really in princess dresses. She just likes to be fancy nowadays or be like some sort of "fashion designer".

Here are the girls walking their pets. I love how my girls love to play with each other. I always wanted a sister and I'm grateful my girls have each other!

Here is Kaiya with her first cake she made all by herself. She loves to cook and help me in the kitchen.

Chloe all dressed up and no place to go...

Me at Bunco....at the head table....with the BELL!  Rarely do I make it to the head table because I suck at Bunco...mostly because I'm too busy chatting to pay attention to my points.

Chloe and Austin! I spend many a day babysitting these 2 when Karen is working. They are either best buds or fighting like cats and dogs. Luckily, it's mostly best buds!

Uncle Mitch comes to visit! It doesn't happen too often, so we need to chronicle it for sure!

Chlo-Bo loves her daddy!

The best part about this mustache is that Carson put it on upside down!

I think this pic was taken on the last day of school. We went to Cousins for Breakfast!

Why is cleaning her room always such drama?!

That used to be one of my costumes when I was younger!

Girls playing picnic!

Why oh why does every picture have to have gunz?!

Kaiya giving her first talk in Primary EVER. I was such a proud mama that day. Proof of how far she has come!
Family Movie night! Gotta love those!

Playing outdoors....apparently I need to put more of these on the blog as proof that yes, my kids do go outside to play...

My kids had saved up money and were dying to go to the store to buy something. What did they come back with?  Yep, you guessed it....LEGOS!

Does it get any more ASIAN than that?!

This is Chloe at a friend's birthday party. Seriously BEST. PIC. EVER.  Chloe is riding Lil' Sebastian!

Free Slurpee Day!

Chloe looking like Hitler...what a goof!

Looking Back: One Time at Cheer Camp...June 2012

When school ended, I signed Kaiya up for a cheer camp at the local high school. She was hesitant to go at first, but absolutely LOVED it! She thought it was a blast! Everyday she would come home doing the cheers and even taught Chloe how to do all of them. It was super cute!

She was even able to do the cheer camp with a few friends:

Here she is with her instructor:

It was a fun opportunity for her to try her hand at cheerleading. She loved it so much that we even signed her up for cheerleading at a local place this school year. It was really bittersweet for me because she was absolutely done with ballet and dance. I'll admit, there was a small part of me that was hoping she would take to some sort of dance. I really love dance and I was hoping that one of my girls might really like dancing. Well, I don't think Kaiya has the dancing bug. Jared was all like, "It's not a big deal that she doesn't like dance." I was like, "So says the dad that has TWO KIDS playing soccer...your favorite activity..."

Anyways, I'm glad she was able to try something new. It is so hard for her to try new things so I was glad she was able to get out of her comfort zone.

Looking Back: Kaiya's Birthday 2012

This was a big birthday year for Miss Kaiya! Not only was she baptized, but she had a big swim party! Mandy offered to let Kaiya have her birthday party at her neighborhood pool, and we readily accepted. Kaiya has never had a swim party before, so she was super excited.

We invited all her friends and even their siblings were invited too!

Here we are having treats and cupcakes!

Of course Kaiya is all smiles opening up her presents! This was the year Kaiya was OBSESSED with Lego Friends. Most of her friends brought her something Lego Friends and she was over-the-moon excited!

And here she is at home, opening her gift from us....

What could it be?!

Yep, you guessed it! More Lego Friends!

A hug for Dad...and gunz for the pic...

I have no words.

Happy Birthday sweet Kaiya!
